Founded in 2017, by Ramsey and J.R. Ash, the Mouse Guard has developed over time from just a vision in our minds to the actual product you can purchase today. Ramsey and J.R. began this journey through the First Lego League robotics competitions. They competed in robotics competitions at the regional, state, and world levels over the years.
In 2016, team AshBots competed in the First Lego League Animal Allies robotics competition in which they invented the Mouse Guard for the project portion of the competition. During this competition, they won the West Virginia State Competition which sent them to the World Competition in St. Louis, Missouri.
In 2017, the Mouse Guard won 1st Place Best in Show at the West Virginia Makes Festival which was hosted at the Robert C. Byrd Institute of Technology in Huntington, West Virginia. The Makes Festival is an annual event which brings inventors from all over the state displaying their inventions to a panel of judges.
